A Poem Is A Meteor

"A poem is a meteor."
Wallace Stevens

Oh, separation
sirens cutting the matterless night.
This Loneliness
caring stillness
the
hardness, the loss
sorrow, continuing.

Broken dreams
deeper than death
falling
cracking
dissolving
tenderness to pain.

what matters, dear one?
Intimacy,
the unmasked smile,
the moreness of this moment,
our honest connection.
shared goodness,
no masked smile.

Day of the Sun

Happy Earth Day.

"The day of the sun is like the day of a king.
It is a promenade in the
morning,
a sitting on the throne at noon,
a pageant in the evening."
~
Wallace Stevens

Red sun this morning! What a beautiful, wonderful world we live in. Gorgeous sunrise.

Comes a Yes!

Key West, Florida

"After the final no there comes a yes,
And on that yes
the future world depends."
~ Wallace Stevens
