I have a maple growing, thriving in my front garden. I imagine future years, sitting under the tree, watching the sun rise. Until then, this morning I can get the fledgling tree with my sun.

Buck Moon!

The full moon is so bright, a rooster outside has confused it for the sun. 

Why Buck Moon?

Native Americans kept track of seasons, giving names to recurring full moons. According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, July is the month of the Full Buck Moon. Bucks grow new antlers at this time. This full Moon was also known as the Thunder Moon, because thunderstorms are so frequent during this month.
