On this day in 1988, mountain climber Stacy Allison (1958-) became the first American woman to stand at the peak of Mt. Everest, the highest point on earth. Stacy was one of the first supporters of my website I am grateful to her for her kindness.

No sunrise, just mesmerizing cloud show with whirling fog and light. Splendid performance of grays, blues, and black crows.

Clarity this morn, no clouds, gentle cove mist. Chilly air clean. Ridge glows orange where the sun will crest. Sloping wonder. Stillness... Cars moving, that rooster, Neighbor's dog, Max just came up deck stairs & is barking for hug. Cute little pomeranian. I of course oblige...
I can see the sun through the trees before it crests. Looks like sparkling stars.
