Clear Cool September

Again from my simple wooden deck, I am witness to a new day. It feels like a miracle to me.

Or is it just an ordinary morning where the sun rises, people get out of bed, brush their teeth and go to work. The quick breakfast, the barely exchanged words. Movement.

At first light, the morning glows orange and the fog settles like a good friend. Time brings more light... Hello my friend. A lingering smile, a bowed head, and timeless beauty.

It is one of those mornings when I have had to wait for the fog to let the sun come through. Is the above photograph worth the wait? 

Wait awhile. Maybe something extraordinary will come along.

While waiting this morning, I chopped a bounty of vegetables then stir fried them with tofu and shrimp. Time always flows nicely when I am in the cooking zone. Cooking is fine time to breathe, pray, and create, yes?

I call this dish Shrimp Tofu Sunrise:
