Just wisps of fog this morning in the valley. Lots of clouds. Very little sky where the sun is to rise. Clouds and light. Interesting formations of quiet grey and blue...
In contrast, looking south, towards Mt. Pisgah, the sky is awash with gorgeous color--light blues, oranges, pinks, and white... Clouds, clouds above me. Settled billows, with tributaries of light and sky. Pattern so still, seems etched, kissed.
(I sat and waited, needing to leave, thinking "too much clouds, no sun." Then... in seconds. Fog moved in, then spectacular fire ball of the sun... )
"Growing old. It happens to everybody.
Might as well go with it
instead of going against it."
~ Bruce Springsteen
After eight days of rain and cloud and fog coverage, it looks like I'm going to get a sunrise today. And it may be spectacular. Rice Pinnacle is glowing orange.
I looked down to enter my last tweet and the fog rolled in with incredible speed. The valley is buried in fog. Everything is ethereal... and in seconds, clear. Unspeakable beauty.
The clouds cover the sky with a thick blanket of lavendar and are outlined by red, bright red fire from the hidden sun...The cloud change in 15 seconds is incredible. No time to tweet, the sky is changing so quickly. A drama of clouds, fog, and light.
